Dr Kathryn (Kat) Mills graduated from Physiotherapy through the University of Newcastle in 2005 and completed her PhD in running biomechanics and orthotics for people with knee pain in 2011.
Kat’s interests are managing running-related injuries and assisting people with lower limb pain to return to physical activity.
Prior to joining Kensington Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in September 2013, Kat worked at the Australian Institute of Sport and as an early career researcher at the Alberta Innovates Health Solutions Team in Osteoarthritis in Canada. In addition to her physiotherapy role at Kensington Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, Kat is a lecturer at Macquarie University and continues her research into footwear and biomechanics for runners as well as improving delivery of care for people with knee osteoarthritis.
She believes in using the most recent evidence-based approaches when managing injuries and using exercise as medicine.
