Our staff at Kensington Physiotherapy UNSW, specialize in the assessment and treatment of sporting and general musculoskeletal injuries.
Some of the more common injuries may include neck and back pain, tendonitis, ligament sprains, muscle strains and joint wear and tear. Our goal is to accurately diagnose the condition and commence treatment using the most up to date techniques to ensure a full recovery is made. Prevention of further injury is also a focus at the clinic.
We can achieve this through screening tests leading to comprehensive exercise programs targeting imbalances, muscle weakness and altered movement patterns.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I get a rebate?
Patients who have a chronic medical condition and complex care needs may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management (known as a CDM or EPC) rebate through Medicare. CDM services and Team Care Arrangements (TCA) are assessed and arranged by your GP. Please bring along any CDM/EPC or TCA documentation to your physiotherapy appointment. A gap fee may apply.
Q. Do I need a referral?
No, physiotherapists assess and treat injuries without the need for a referral from a GP or specialist.
Q. How long will the session take?
Initial sessions run for 1 hour. Most subsequent sessions are of 30 minutes' duration, but may on request be an hour depending on the complexity or number of conditions to be treated. It is suggested that returning clients who have not seen their physiotherapist for more that 3 months attend a 1 hour session. Any new injuries typically also require a 1 hour appointment.
Q. Is this service covered by Private Health Insurance?
Many patients Private Health Insurance does cover physiotherapy appointments. This is often covered under 'Extras Cover'. To see if you are covered, contact your health fund for more info.
Q. What do I need to bring?
Please bring comfortable / appropriate clothing. In the case of lower limb injury, you may wish to bring your own shorts.
